Happy Birthday Dad

Today should have been my dad's 64th birthday. I miss him every day and it's funny how I still get the urge to call him to tell him when the girls do something exciting, or to ask his advice on the garden or the house. Because he knew everything you know (well he thought he did). LOL

Happy Birthday Dad ... I love you

You look so much like your mum! Your dad looks like a lovely man and I so know what you mean....often when something happens I driving along thinking I can't wait to get home and call mum about it...takes 30 seconds to sink in that she's not around any longer to call. Their birthdays and other significant dates and events are difficult, and not a day goes by without thinking of them. Nice post Jodene!

This is a lovely photo of your mum and dad. I'll echo Patrice's words because when I saw the photo I went "Wow .. Jodene looks so ... much like her mum!" Thinking of you today. I know it's hard but time really does help to heal the sadness.

Thanks girls! I probably look like my mum in this pic because it is me ;) I should have added that earlier! Dad and mum were married about 27 years before this pic was taken :)

Ha ha, I don't know what made me come back to this but something stuck in my head - something like, gee Jodene's dad looked a lot older than her mum at the time of their wedding pic. Doh. Makes sense now lol.

Big hugs Jodene (late tho I know!). Your dad looks like he has very kind eyes - dads are great aren't they? Thanks for sharing this post.

Mornin' Jodene!

This is a really beautiful post! I bet your dad is looking down on you each and every day thinking what a beautiful wife and mother you are! He'd be very proud - make no mistake about that!
