A quick catch up

Hello blogging friends!

Things have been pretty quiet around here this week as we have had a bit of a sick house. My eldest daughter has had the flu and has developed a nasty throat infection and I have come down with a case of Tonsilitis. So it was off to the Doctors today for some antibiotics for both of us and she will be off school for the rest of the week. I am hoping to at least get 1 day of work in this week but we will see.

This also means I haven't done any stamping for a while but do have a quick card to post that I made last week, but first some good news :)
We finally booked our trip to Sydney for Christmas, so for the first time in 3 years we will spend it with our families. We also managed to book in 5 days on the Gold Coast on the way to Sydney and will get to visit Movie World, Sea World and Wet 'n Wild World. We can't wait since this is our FIRST holiday since we were married in 1994, and the first one the kids have ever been on. So to say it is long overdue is an understatement. LOL

Anyway, here is my card and I am now off to sip some hot tea and lay on the couch. Goodnight!
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, whisper white
Stamps: Sentiment is Papertrey Ink, the swirl used for the ornaments is from an old set and I don't know who it's from.
Ink: Versamark
Other: Red embossing powder, silver thread, circle punches, riding hood red ribbon.

Hiya Jodene!

Sorry to hear your a bit of a sick household - definitely no fun!

HUGE CONGRATS on booking your holiday though. You guys will have an absolute ball. We havent been on a holiday for a few years now either and since we have school fees to pay next year - I doubt we'll have one for a long while!

Love your card too - just beautiful!

Beautiful card, love. Get well soon!! You will have a wonderful time on the trip you have planned; the BEST thing to do as a family is just to 'get away'. I'm sure you'll create heaps of lifelong memories. Lots to look forward to, even though you feel miserable this week.
