AUTUMN-WINTER MINI CATALOGUE RELEASE

I am so excited because now that it has gone live, I can share with you the NEW Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! This catalogue will run right through until 31st August 2010. So if your wishlist looks anything like mine you will be glad that you have time to order all of the wonderful goodies that you want. Just click on the image above to view the catalogue online.

The big news with this Mini Catalogue release is that Stampin' Up! is now selling the Big Shot in Australia! along with lots wonderful exclusive Stampin' Up! Big Shot die cuts and embossing folders that you will not find anywhere else.
This new Mini also launches the new clear mount stamps from Stampin' Up! and I can't tell you how much I love this new style! The quality is fantastic and the sets come in a DVD sized case with printing on the spine as well as the front for easy storage. And if you choose a clear mount set you will also save money ... which if you are anything like me, you will use to buy more fun goodies. LOL Although my hubby likes to point out that if I use the difference on more stuff it is not technically a saving. I tend to disagree ;)
So if you would like a copy of the new mini catalogue or would like to place an order please drop me an email at jdntripp@aol.com

And while on the subject of the new catalogue I thought I would share with you a card I made using two of the new in colours, soft suede and melon mambo, and featuring the vintage vogue stamp set. I can't take credit for the gorgeous design of this card however, since I cased it from a RAK I received from the very talented Fiona Platzer.Supplies: cardstock and ink in melon mambo and soft suede, ribbon in melon mambo, scalloped edge border punch and some gemstones for the flower centres.

One Last Basket ... I promise!

We realised that we had not done a basket for Claudia's teacher so I quickly made this one tonight so she could take it in with the other ones tomorrow.

Madison's Easter Baskets

After I made the Easter baskets for Claudia's friends last night, Madison decided she wanted to give some to her friends too! So She chose all of the papers and matching cardstock and then I just pre-cut the pieces for her and she put them all together herself while I made dinner. I thought I would share a few photos of her creative process. I am so happy that she loves crafting as much as her mum does :)

An Easter Basker ... or six!

My daughter wants to give her friends a little Easter gift this week so I thought Makeesha's Easter Basket tutorial looked perfect! If you are looking for a quick and easy basket to make that is totally adorable, I recommend you try this one. I made 6 of them in just over an hour, they are that easy. Gotta love that! Click here to go straight to the tutorial. This is such a great way to use up old strips or scraps of patterned paper!
And here are my baskets (the first one is a little bit fancier because it is for a lady at hubby's work who always organises all his travel for him)

All cardstock, ribbon and punches are Stampin' Up! Easter Wishes stamp is PTI. Lots of miscellaneous paper scraps used.

Clean and Simple Sketches

I managed to just do a couple of quick cards today using some recent sketches over at Clean and Simple Stamping. The first one is Sketch #82 and the second is Sketch #79.
I was reasonably happy with one, and not so much at all with the other. I think my Stamping Mojo may have gone away early for Easter! So if you find it could you please send it home, thanks!

Greeting stamps are PTI, all other stamps, paper, cardstock and ink is Stampin' Up!

My first 6"x6" Layout

This is my first 6"x6" scrapbook page I made for a team swap that we are having this week. No photo on it yet but I was thinking of using it for a mothers day page. I found it quite a challenge to design a page for this smaller size so I hope that the others in the group like it. Now I am off to finish up the other 9 I still need to do.

All supplies are current Stampin' Up! products.

Also, how cute is that little 'Cards by Jodene' banner at the top of my page? That was designed by my super talented cousin over at Tamara Sirl Designs. You can check out her work here

Thanks Tam, I love my little owl!

Just Add Ink Challenge #9

AND A RETURN TO REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING :)

In between painting the walls in my house for the last two days, I managed to get this card done for the sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink.

Before I show you my card, I just wanted to say thankyou to all of the wonderful friends and visitors to my blog who have left me messages, sent me emails and even called me to offer kind words and encouragement! It really means a lot to me, and it just goes to show, that the majority of women in the crafting community are wonderful caring people :) I won't let a couple of narrow minded ones stop me from blogging and ruin my love of stamping. And with that said, here is my latest card.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! except for the two flat top brads which have been in my stash for years! lol

Just Add (more) Easter

This is my second project for the 'Just Add Easter' challenge over at Just Add Ink. I found these gorgeous little eggs which look like birds eggs so I used the colours as inspiration for this basket. The template is from Lauren Meader (her link is in my sidebar).
How sweet are these eggs? They are from Darrell Lea and have chocolate inside. And now I get to eat the rest :)
All cardstock, ink, punches and patterned paper are Stampin' Up! The Easter Wishes stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

Guess who's been to Ikea again :)

The girls and I had a visit to Ikea today (aka my happy place) because I needed to get another hanging wire basket to add to my wall for my ribbon. Last week hubby put up another rail for me so now I have all of my SU ribbons hanging right there and I also got some storage tubs to put my cuttlebug and big shot plates in. Here are a couple of pics of how it looks now (not really that different!) I also had a HUGE clean up on Thursday and cleared out a very large box of stuff from my room and sorted out all of my shelves so it is much more organised and tidy.

I have really only added an extra rail to this setup and some more hanging baskets for my ribbon and bits & peices.

Exciting news over at Just Add Ink

I am so excited to have been picked again in the Top 5 for the weekly challenge over at JUST ADD INK. If you haven't been to this site, do yourself a favour and check it out. It is pretty new and the girls are doing a wonderful job. They have an awesome weekly challenge and the talent of all the contributors is amazing! I am glad I don't have to be on the judging panel, because all of the submissions are so fantastic!

Also they have featured my little craft space this week, and you can check the article out HERE.
Pity I didn't think to clean my shelves out a little earlier! LOL I spent three and a half hours today sorting through ALL of my supplies and re-arranged my shelves so that all of my SU products are on one side and easy to access and all of my other miscellaneous products are in the other bookcase. Makes it easier if I am working on projects for workshops etc. Plus I had to make a nice clean place for my new Big Shot :)
I can't wait to see what the next challenge is over at JAI. So why don't you join me and play along too!
