Cherished Friend

Hello friends!  I just thought I'd pop in and share a card I made for the Bizzy Becs Blog, and to remind you there are still a couple of days left of the sale over at Bizzy Becs Online Store! You can currently get 10% off storewide until midnight on 30th November.

And this is the card I made.  I coloured the Magnolia image with Copic Markers (except for her dress which I paper pieced) and put the rest of the card together using one of the card kits available over at Bizzy Becs.

Just Add Ink #145 - Sketch Challenge

Hello ... remember me?  I know it's been a while. Life has taken me on a bit of a detour, as I have been away down on the south coast for a work retreat and then on to spend a couple of days with my bestie :)

But now I'm back and trying to get back into some sort of routine! Although I probably picked the wrong time of year to do that, since the lead up to Christmas is always a little crazy.

I did find time to make a card using this great sketch for this week's challenge over at Just Add Ink.  We would love it if you would play along, this is the sketch.

And here is my card. I love that this sketch lends itself to a clean and simple design but can also be 'dressed up' if you want too. And it's a great way to use up those little strips of leftover patterned paper.

Supplies:
Paper by My Minds Eye.
Stamps: Bauble by Stampin' Up!, Sentiment by Papertrey Ink
Other: Cotton thread, stitching, gold embossing powder.

I stamped the donkey directly onto Sahara Sand card stock with black pigment ink before adding clear embossing powder. I then just added some shading with the Copic Warm Neutrals.

Supplies:
Stamps: There She Goes Clear Stamps
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White. Marina Mist DSP by SU!
Other: Stitching, Copic markers, Nestabilities, brads, ribbon

Simple Christmas Cards

Well it's that time of year again (hard to believe I know!) when I need to start thinking about Christmas cards. I always leave it to the last minute and despite spending a fortune every year on new Christmas stamps, papers etc I just never seem to make enough cards to justify it.

Anyway, last night I whipped out a bunch of very quick and simple designs so I just thought I would share them with you.

The papers are from the small SU! Christmas pad and the stamps and die are from My Favorite Things. And they were all done using the same colours, however some have photographed much brighter. The colours were Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.

Happy stamping!
