Other: Stitching, white embossing powder, scallop border punch by SU!

Freshly Made Sketches #88 - Card 1

After a couple of weeks away and having been struggling to find any creativeness at all lately I finally stepped into my craft room last night (after a thorough tidy-up!) and made a couple of cards for this week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I thought I would start off with something simple and this sketch was perfect.  I have used it in different ways on both of my cards. This is the sketch.

Here is my first card. I have used versamark with embossing powder for the sentiment, heart and border which gives the whole card a nice sparkly look.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
Other: Dies by My Favorite Things, toffee apple red embossing powder, clear polysparkle embossing powder, versamark ink, scalloped border punch by SU!

Just Add Ink Challenge #166 - Colour Challenge

Hello friends!  So sorry that this post is very very late. But I have just returned from 10 days in Brisbane visiting family and attending the Stampin' Up! convention with my lovely JAI friends.

Here is a pic of all of us with the beautiful Shelli Gardner of Stampin' Up!

The convention was wonderful and I can honestly say I haven't laughed that much in a very long time. It really was a much needed break and I must admit, it is hard getting back into my usual daily routine.

So while I was gone, we had a new colour challenge over at Just Add Ink.  Here are the gorgeous colours:

And here is my card.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Paper/Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
Ink: Stampin' Up!
Other: Twine, rhinestones, stitching

And you have until Wednesday 29th May to play along in this challenge, so I do hope you will join us!

Just Add Ink Challenge #165 - Just Add Woodgrain

This past week has flown by me in a haze of sickness. I was knocked down by a bad head cold combined with a horrid sinus infection so not much has been done this week! I am only just starting to feel better and am hoping to be 100% before I head off to Brisbane next Friday.

Thankfully I managed to get this card done for the Just Add Ink challenge before I became too unwell. This week the challenge is to 'Just Add Woodgrain'. This means you could use woodgrain stamps, embossing folders, paper .. anything that includes a woodgrain type pattern. Have fun with it!

I chose to use a woodgrain paper by Kaiser, which I also embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder from Sizzix. Here is my card.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Cardstock: Stampin' Up, Patterned Paper by Kaiser
Other: Bow dienamic by My Favorite Things, Copic Markers, stitching

Just Add Ink Challenge #164 - Sketch Challenge

Hello friends!

I hope you have all had a good week and have a fun weekend planned!  I have been knocked down by a bad head cold and sinus infection so now I have to miss out on a few fun things we had planned for this weekend. Especially bummed since hubby just got back from a month overseas for work on Wednesday night.

But I realise that there are people that have it far worse than me out there, so I am just going to put on my big girl panties and get on with it ;)

Starting with sharing my card for this week's great sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink.  This was such a fun one! Here is the sketch.

And here is my card.

Supplies:
Stamp: Penny Black
Cardstock/DSP: All from Stampin' Up!
Other: Nestabilities, sewing machine, 1.5" square punch, lace from Kaiser.

I hope you are feeling inspired to play along this week, I would love to see what you can create with this great sketch. And it would be perfect for a Scrapbooking layout too, don't you think?

Happy stamping.
