Quick and easy cards using Blueprints Die-namics - for The Scrapbook Store

I love the Blueprints dies from My Favorite Things and have always found them to be a great investment. I use the different elements on lots of cards separately, as well as together to make quick and easy cards. And you can find a great selection of these over at The Scrapbook Store!
Butterflies Card TRIO
For these cards I decided to team up Blueprints 24 with the new Flutter of Butterflies dies that have just arrived in the store. However, if you wanted to make these cards even quicker, you could choose to use pre-made elements or die cuts to add to your cards. Although it really didn’t take very long to create these pretty butterflies and I love what they add to the cards.
Before I started assembling the cards I created the butterflies. To do this I took an A5 piece of white cardstock and sponged various colours of distress ink all over it (in no particular order or pattern). It was very random! Because I knew the card was to be cut with the lace butterflies it didn’t matter if it was splotchy either. I then spritzed some water onto the card for added effect and then run it through the big shot using the lace butterfly die.
I cut out the coordinating solid butterfly dies from Vellum and layered the two together. Once they were glued together (using Ranger Multi Medium in Matte) I gave them a generous spritzing of shimmer mist to make them all sparkly. Then I set them aside to dry while I put the cards together.
Butterflies CloseupCard 1 – Sending Happy Your Way
I die cut the background stitched element from the blueprints set in aqua cardstock. I then cut the next piece with the rounded edges in kraft cardstock to place on top.
For the sentiment I used the round edged strip which was cut from white card and the sentiment was added using Versamark ink and heat set with platinum embossing powder. I placed this onto the card with foam tape and then added two of the butterflies in different sizes.
To finish the card I mounted the completed panel onto a white card base and added some glitter sprinkle embellishments.Butterflies Card 1Card 2 – Happy Birthday
For this card I cut the background stitched panel in black card and for interest I stamped a diagonal line background stamp from My Favorite Things in Versamark ink which I heat set with clear embossing powder.
I then cut the smaller element in hot pink card and used foam tape to place it on top of the black card.
I added a large greeting from the new Written In Watercolour stamp set which was also stamped in Versamark and heat set with white embossing powder.
I placed a little silver thread around the end of the panel and attached one of the butterflies into the top right corner. I then placed the whole piece onto a white card base and added some clear sequins to complete the card.Butterflies Card 2Card 3 – Be Yourself
For the final card I have die cut the large stitched panel in kraft cardstock. On top of that I added the die cut flag element from the blueprints set in a purple card. I then cut the round edged strip from glitter paper and the circle die from black card. I layered them using some foam tape. Before adding the butterfly to the circle I added a little silver thread underneath. I then stamped the sentiment in black ink at the bottom before layering the completed panel onto a black card base.Butterflies Card 3
