First layout for 2007

Yay, I actually finished something! Although it is quite simple, at least I can say I have scrapped this year. lol I am going to a cardmaking afternoon tomorrow too and hope to get some birthday cards made up so I have a stash ready for the new year.
The rain is starting to slow down here, and I am hoping it will stop completely over the weekend. I have a bit more spring cleaning to finish and it would be great to be able to send the kids outside to play for a while.

Isn't it supposed to be summer?

It has been raining continually since last night and the temperature went from being 39degC yesterday to only 16degC today!! The girls loved it though, they made little boats and wrote some letters and sent them sailing down the road.
The downside is that I started to notice some drips coming down the walls in the (newly painted!) living room tonight so dh and I put on raincoats and went out in the pouring rain at 10.30pm, where he climbed on the roof and discovered there are at least 6 broken roof tiles up there...ARRRGGGHHH!! So we will have to figure out a way to get that fixed tomorrow, and in the meantime we have put some plastic up and hope it keeps too much water from getting in. Although the cornices are pretty wet so I don't know how much water will continue to leak through during the night.
It honestly has not stopped raining for more than 5mins in the last 24 hours ... and while I love what it is doing for our lawn and garden, I hope it stops long enough for us to fix the roof properly.

Last photo of 2006!

I was just clearing out the memory card on the camera and realised this is the last photo I took in 2006, so I thought I would share it. It was taken at about 7.30pm on New Years Eve when we were just hanging around outside waiting for guests to arrive. I can't believe how much the girls have grown this year! I can't imagine all the wonderful changes that 2007 will bring for them.

My Pink Clock

Madison and Claudia got me this cute little pink clock for Christmas. It looks quite red in the photo, but is hot pink with big 'diamonds' between the numbers. And it is only 12cms high. Did I say how cute it was? I call it my 'diva' clock and it fits in really well in my scrap room. The girls are so great at picking out just the right little things for me, and always come up with something I love. I will definitely have to scrap a page about my pink clock!

Happy New Year!

Well 2006 is gone forever... bring on 2007 ! I am so ready for a new year, I can't even tell you. This is going to be a year of change and self improvement for me. Things are looking up, I can feel it in my waters. LOL

Since one of my resolutions (and I use the term loosely) was to take more photographs, I have decided to start today and take some 'everyday' pictures of the kids (and us) every single day. I don't know how I am going to scrap these photos yet, maybe a month to a layout or a small album broken down into weeks, but however I decide to do it, I definitely want to scrap more family moments this year.

I am also officially 'back on the WW wagon' and got my tracker out today ready to tackle a new year. I hope that the local meetings start up again soon, because I am really missing the weekly motivation. I have almost 10kgs to goal and I would love to reach that before my birthday in April.

However you celebrated New Year's, I hope it was a good one!
