Pizza Cookie!!

Today Claudia and I (with the help of her friend Maddy) made a pizza cookie, and it was pretty yum! Although there was a bit too much frosting on it for my liking. It was so easy to make and the kids can pretty much do it on their own! I have put the recipe below in case you are looking for something fun to make with the kids!
for the cookie:
115g (4oz) unsalted butter
200g (7oz) caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
225g (8oz) plain flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
for the topping:
115g (4oz) unsalted butter
250g (9oz) icing sugar
115g (4.5oz) cream cheese
150g (5oz) sweets
2 tbsp sugar strands or sprinkles
Preheat oven to 175degC (350degF) and line a 30cm (12") pizza tray or baking sheet with baking paper.
Beat the butter and sugar together. Then add the egg and vanilla essence. Sift the flour and bicarb soda and stir into the mixture. Spread the dough onto the pizza tray. Bake for 18 to 20mins until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Beat the butter and icing sugar together and then beat in the cream cheese. Spread over the cooled cookie and decorate with sweets and sugar strands.

It is time for another great sketch over at Taylors Blog! Here is this weeks sketch:

So as not to leave the kitty out...

Since I posted pics of my puppy the other day I thought it was only fair that my other baby Coco, get equal blog time :) She has taken to sitting just off to the side of my work desk of a night while I make cards. But the second I get up she jumps straight onto my warm chair and makes me feel real bad when I have to kick her off! I can only sit on the edge of the seat for so long before it gets uncomfortable you know. lol Edited to add this photo below .... just as I was editing this blog post I turned around to find she had decided to move closer to the action, in fact she sat right on the paper I am using at the moment! And since my desk is in such a creative (meaning messy!) state, she is lucky she didn't perch her cute furry butt onto something sharp!

Inkspiration Challenge #8

This is Makeesha's great Inkspiration Sketch challenge .. you can find this and other awesome challenges on her website here. For this card I used Stampin' Up card in Kraft, Black, White and Riding Hood Red. Patterned paper is also Stampin' Up. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I stamped the background with Sahara Sand on Kraft, and Riding Hood Red to stamp the greeting.

Lucy's New Bed

Today I took Lucy to the groomers, and she had a bit of a trim as well as a wash and blow dry. I love it after she has been there, she smells and feels so good! Her fur is so soft, and not maulting all over the place either!
Then I went and got her a new inside bed, since it is getting so cold and she likes to come in and lay on the tiles at night (she is not allowed in the rooms with carpet, because her hair is so hard to get out!). She is pretty pleased with the new bed, and I am sure it is a lot more comfy than lying on the cold tiles. She hasn't moved out of it since I put it down! Unfortunately she is still in the habit of sucking on her blankie (that little purple rag in the bed!) The vet said it is not a problem and she seems to like it, but I worry that it is the result of some deep psychological issue! lol

TECC68 and then some!

It has been a while between stamping posts ... so here are a few I have done lately. As well as the final pages for the circle journal I am in. Now that the house sale has all settled and I have finished work I have a couple of weeks to play before we do the big move to the city. So I hope to have more to share in the coming week or so!
TECC68 for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. All papers, card, stamps, ink and ribbon are Stampin' Up! in So Saffron and Baja Breeze.
A thankyou card for one of our lovely real estate agents. Again all stamps, card, paper, ribbon and ink are Stampin' Up! The cute button is one I have had in my jar for years ... wish I had more of them! Colours are chocolate chip and certainly celery. Stamp set is Thoughts & Prayers.

This is just the inside of the card above.

The second thankyou card for the other lovely real estate agent. Both ladies were so helpful I thought I would just send them a little thankyou. Same colours as above, and all products are Stampin' Up!

This is just the inside of the card above.
I made 6 of these for a baby card swap I am in. Again all card, paper stamps, ink and ribbon are Stampin' Up! Colours are very vanilla and bashful blue. A RAK for a Yahoo! group I am on. I hope she likes it :) All stamps, ink, paper and ribbon are Stampin' Up! Colours are very vanilla, chocolate chip and baja breeze.

The two pages above are for Leonie's recipe circle journal.

These last two pages are for Pam's circle journal ... all about desserts!

Finally ... I scrapped!

I thought I would try to find my scrapping mojo again since I have a week to myself starting tomorrow and plan to make the most of it! After all, once I pack up my stuff I don't know how long it will be until I get to play again.
So here are a couple of pages that I did this afternoon. This first one was inspired by one I had saved in my 'inspiration file' but I can't find who did it originally!

Supplies: Paper, card, flowers and ink are all by Stampin' Up! Rubons by DaisyD, Butterfly done with the Cuttlebug and embossed. Crystal gems added to the flowers and some stitching. Chipboard letters were coloured using Riding Hood Red ink and stamped with the SU dotted background stamp in Pink Pirouette.

Supplies: Cardstock in Kraft by SU!, Paper by Kaiser, misc flowers, ribbon and gems used.
The journalling refers to my love of Facebook and showcases some of the profile pics I use online. I just printed the facebook logo from the net.

Finally something crafty to share!

Don't get too excited though, it's not much! lol I am still working on circle journal pages as they come to me so I thought I would post the last couple I have done as well as a quick card.

The card pic is not very clear, and since I have already sent the card on it's way I can't take another pic. But you get the idea. I have used clear crystal gems on the chandelier.

This card and the matching page below were for a circle journal for 'card ideas'. But I can't remember whose album that was!

The next page is for Dee's Dips Circle Journal. Reminds me how much I love this dip .. will have to make it soon!

This next card was one I did a while ago but neglected to post. Probably because the pic was so blurry! But I though I'd share anyway since those owls are just too cute! Especially with the googlie eyes :)
So let me see, what else do I have to share.... well I am now officially unemployed! My last day of work was on Thursday. It was a little bit sad to leave after 5 years but I am sure I will get used to having nanna naps in the middle of the day pretty quickly :) Although the next few weeks will see me pretty busy with packing and moving out of the house before transferring down to Perth. Where there will be lots more unpacking to do before I can really settle in. But I am starting to look forward to the change, not so much to all the extra driving I will have to do!

Hopefully I will be back later with more cards to share, since I have some swap cards that are overdue!
