Stamping again!

This is the first card I have made since I got to Perth and set up my room. Hopefully this will get me on a roll and I can do some more tonight. I have saved lots of sketches over the last few weeks so I have quite a bit to catch up on.

Supplies: Cardstock and ribbon by Stampin' Up. Stamp by Stampabilities. Paper by My Minds Eye, Greeting stamp and glitter (used on Cupcakes) by Taylored Expressions. Templates are all by Spellbinders. Added a bit of sewing as usual and coloured with my Prismacolour and Faber Castel pencils.

Another outing

On Thursday we went to Sizzler and Scitech with Leonie, Indigo, Lilly and Jolson who were visiting from Perth. It was great to spend some time with the kids (we really miss them!) and do something fun together.
Here is Lilly with her ice cream at Sizzler (the do-it-yourself dessert bar was definitely the kids' favourite part)
And this is what Indigo created ... yummy!
Madison and Jolson
Madison and Indigo - so cute!
and the equally cute Claudia and Indigo!
Jolson playing with the balls at Scitech - he loved this game! And all of the kids outside Scitech.

Holiday Movies

Well over the holidays we managed to get out and see a couple of movies. Last Tuesday we went with some friends to see Hannah Montanna. Surprisingly it wasn't too bad. If you have to sit through a kids movie, this one isn't too hard to handle and the girls really enjoyed it so that is the main thing.

And on Wednesday we went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Since we are all HP fans, we booked our tickets for the very first session just over a week earlier and hubby even had the day off so we could all go together.
The movie was great although I have to admit to being quite disappointed with the ending. They could have easily have edited out some of the earlier parts (which weren't even in the book) and given more time to what should have been the biggest scene of the whole movie. A pity really, because the ending could have been so fantastic.

Introducing Toffee

We have added a new puppy to our family - this is Toffee! She is a Cavalier/Shihtzu - Lhasa Apso cross and she belongs to Claudia.
Toffee (the name given to her by the lady we bought her from) has been with us for almost 2 weeks now and is 11 weeks old. And it's true what they say, having a puppy is just like taking care of a new baby! But I am happy to say she is sleeping through and is almost house trained (just got to work on those number 2's!) lol
And the other pets (Lucy and Coco) are slowly getting used to having her around although she is a bit noisy and excitable for poor Lucy! And I am just waiting for the cat to have a good swipe at her because Toffee hasn't realised yet that Coco doesn't want to play chase with her.
