The wait is over ... It's finally here!!

Finally after a long (long!) wait, the NEW 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue has been released in Australia and New Zealand! Just click on the image above to view the catalogue online.

This also means that you can now order all of the wonderful new products contained within it. There is so much to look at that I don't know where to start! One of the highlights is defintely the new colour renovation. There are so many beautiful colours to choose from and add to your existing collection. Stampin' Up! have also made it easy to add the new colours by giving you the option to purchase kits for both the new additions to the colour families as well as the new in colours. Happy Stamping!

Secret Sister Projects

Now that our three month Secret Sister swap is over I can show you some of the goodies I sent to my SS (Julie Price).

JUNE

The box above is a Lauren Meader template and from memory I had put a Rich Razzleberry stamp pad in it, with some ribbons and other embellishments (brads etc). Forgot to take pics of the goodies! This was one of the cards I sent along with a cute little fold up 'wallet' which holds two tea bags. I closed it with a magnetic clip and used the Parisian Breeze papers.

JULY
This is a matching set with notepad, grocery list and some pens which came from Convention. And I can't believe I forgot to take a photo of the rest of my July swap! But it was a tea time box (another Lauren Meader template) made in the parisian breeze papers, which had a very vintage wheel in it and was sent with the rest of these goodies. The magnet somehow didn't make it into the parcel in the end so I sent it with the next one.

AUGUST This was the third and final SS gift. Inside the tool tote was:

  • 1 roll of SU! Old Olive Ribbon
  • American Crafts chocolate taffeta ribbon
  • A handmade magnetic clip
  • The 'Big Flower' stamp which will be in the upcoming catalogue
  • Some bling for cards (pearls and crystals from Kaiser)
  • A mixed bag of flowers and butterflies cut from felt using the big shot machine. The butterflies are another new die which will be out in the new catty
  • And a cute paper bag album that Julie could decorate herself.
I forgot to take pics before I wrapped them and placed them into the tote - duh!! In addition to this we also sent extra cards over the three months. I hope that my SS liked all of her goodies, because it was such fun to create them and send them off every month!

JAI32 - Just Add Fabric!

Yep, another week has flown by and it is time for another challenge over at Just Add Ink. This week the challenge is to just add fabric. That can mean ribbon, felt, actual fabric ... the choices are many, so what are you waiting for? Pop over and see what the design team has come up with and why not play along. We would love to see what you create using this challenge!

For my card this week I have used some fabric adhesive 12x12 sheets by American Crafts. All other supplies on my card are Stampin' Up! I stamped the cupcake directly onto the polka dot and chocolate coloured fabric and then cut them out. I placed the base of the cupcake directly onto the card and raised the 'frosting' using pop dots.

mmmmm ... donuts

Here is a cute little stamp that I have been itching to ink up ... I just love this little donut! First I used the masking technique to layer the donuts, and then I frosted them in Espresso dimensional pearls and they almost look good enough to eat :)
Supplies: Stamps by Taylored Expressions.
Paper: DCWV (in a huge pad from Big W, and it's gorgeous!)
Card: chocolate chip, very vanilla.
Ink: Chocolate chip, regal rose, black
Other: satin ribbon, prismacolour pencils, gamsol, dimensional pearls in Espresso by Ranger.

Birthday Party photo round up

Here are a few pics from Miss C's Twilight party on the weekend. Just because you asked Gretchen ;) LOL
The kids had a great time, and the party bags were a hit! I really wish that the birthday girl would have let me make her the Twilight cake or cupcakes I wanted to but she insisted on the one with the mini M&M's and Kit Kats (she has a very sweet tooth like her mum!) so her cake didn't match the theme, but she loved it which is the main thing!
For games we played 'pin the fangs on Edward' and we had a Twilight Quiz which was fun!

This is Miss M (as Rosalie) and Miss C (as Alice). Miss M's blonde wig didn't look good so we curled her hair instead and Miss C couldn't bear to cut the lovely dark brown wig she bought so she wore it long (over her natural hair!) LOL

Miss C found the fangs online and printed and cut them out. The person that got the closest won the prize :) Miss C and her friends. Obviously the New Moon video had finished playing because it looks like election stuff was on the TV. LOL Not that we watched any of it! The birthday girl cutting her cake. Opening presents :)

We followed the theme through to the drinks and I found some bottle labels online and printed them out before attaching them to the bottles of Creaming Soda.

Dinner was pizza, party pies, sausage rolls etc. Followed by cake and all served on Twilight plates of course :) Miss C and her friends. Another one of the little tables in the hall that we had set up. We had lots of candles around and it all looked really nice at night when they were all lit. The entrance table with the candles lit. A few people must have left already because some of the bags are missing ;)

All in all, another successful party!
