JAI62 - Just Add A Bag or a Box

I love making 3D projects, and I don't create them as often as I would like. It's always so nice to give a card and a little pressie in a matching set, don't you think? So I was really excited when this week's challenge over at Just Add Ink was to create a bag or a box.

So for this challenge I chose to make a little gift box of chocolates and a matching birthday card. And if you haven't seen what the rest of the DT have created this week, be sure to pop over and check them out. With Easter just around the corner I am sure a lot of these ideas will come in very handy!

1 image - 2 cards

Well I had a pretty quiet day at home yesterday after a really busy week, and enjoyed just hanging out with my girls and doing some colouring in :) I made two different cards using the same digi image. I found this cute watering can image really fun to colour! I have added some glossy accents to the centre of the flowers, and glitter to the petals but it's hard to see in the pics. Here is the first one, using 'warm' colours for the image. And here is the second card, using cool colours. Supplies - Card 1: Image: digi image from The Stamping Boutique Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, DSP by Bo Bunny Other: Old Olive ribbon, glimmer brads by SU!, nestabilities, Copic markers, Ranger Glossy Accents, dazzling diamonds, scallop border punch, paper piercer, prismacolour pencils. Supplies - Card 2: Image: digi image from The Stamping Boutique, tiny tags stamp set by SU! Cardstock: Rose Red, Whisper White, DSP by Kaiser Other: stitching, whisper white satin ribbon coloured using rose red inkpad, Tiny Tags PUnch, copic markers

JAI61 - Just Add Stamps

I can't believe another week has flown by already! Where is the time going? I feel like I have achieved nothing this week and my to-do list continues to grow.

The only good thing about it being the end of another week is that it is challenge time again over at Just Add Ink ... and this time the challenge is to 'Just Add Stamps'. I love the simplicity of just using stamps and cardstock, and not having to think about what embellishments to add. Definitely a challenge for me!

I also loved seeing all of the different looks that you can get just using stamps, so be sure to stop by the JAI Blog and check out what the rest of the design team have done this week.

Here is my first card for this week, a birthday card I made for my sister.
Supplies:
Stamps: Watercolour trio by SU!, Greeting by Papertrey Ink
Cardstock: Early Espresso, naturals ivory
Ink: Chocolate chip, crumb cake, pale plum
Other: Paper piercer, distressing tool

And here is my second card ... a bright, fun, kids birthday card. Very different from my first example!
Supplies:
Stamps: Pun Fun, Happy Birthday sentiment by PTI
Cardstock: Taken with teal, pumpkin pie, whisper white
Ink: Black archival ink by Ranger, pumpkin pie
Other: Copics, paper piercer

I am off to colouring in classes!

I can't wait .... I am finally going to learn to use my Copics properly! LOL Amanda and I are off to do some colouring classes this week with the talented Debra James and I am quite excited about it. Can you tell I don't get out much? hehehe

I will be sure to let you know how I go and share my projects when I am done. In the meantime, stay tuned because it's almost time for another Just Add Ink challenge! So check back in later tonight to see what I have come up with for this one.

I coloured this KennyK digital image last week while I was trying to learn how to use my new Copics. I have to admit, I'm still struggling a bit but am slowly getting the hang of them.
Have a great weekend :)

Just checking in

Just popping in quickly from work (shhhh!!) to let you know that my 'lil old blog will be quiet for a while as I have a computer virus and my laptop is away at the doctors being fixed. Unfortunately it is the only computer in our house at the moment so apart from getting some email via my iPhone I am feeling quite out of touch, not to mention suffering withdrawals!

I am hoping this may mean that I have time to get more projects made, however with life being the way it has lately (pretty sucky!) I wouldn't hold out too much hope for that.

Have a great week and I hope to see you again real soon, with some cards to share!

A quick card share

I don't know where the time has gone this week, but it seems to have whizzed right by! I managed to get a few images coloured in and am trying to get around to putting them on cards. Here is the first one I made which is already on it's way to someone special :)

Paper: Kaiser
Other: Image from Mo's Digital Pencil, Martha Stewart border punch, Certainly Celery ribbon, prismacolour pencils, copic markers (for the face), stitching, dazzling diamonds glitter

Just Add Ink CASE challenge

This week we are doing something a little different, but oh so fun! over at Just Add Ink. Due to the sad departure of our fearless leaders Amanda and Danielle, we have decided to honour them this week by doing a CASE of some of their previous work.

So pop on over to their blogs (just click on their names above) to find your inspiration from a JAI challenge that they have submitted, or you can use one of their other projects! If you're anything like me, you will find it hard deciding which of their gorgeous work to CASE!
I chose to use two of their previous JAI challenges for my cards this week. And here they are. Firstly this is my case of Amanda's card (which is pictured underneath).
And here is one I did casing Danielle. I needed a masculine card and this fit the bill perfectly!
